One of the benefits of using visualization for pretty much any goal, is to be able to cleanse and clear your personal space without needing actual physical actions as a follow up to make it happen.

Smudge

For example, many people choose to smudge their personal space which is rooted in the Native American culture as a cleansing ceremony or prayer ceremony. Sweetgrass, Sage, Lavender, Cedar, Palo Santo wood and other natural or organic plant materials are placed in a bowl such as an Abalone shell or stone bowl, and are lit until they produce a sweet smoke and aroma. The smoke can be fanned with feathers or even the hand, starting in the East corner of the home, to the West, and back again to the East to complete a full circle. Projecting an intention of clearing negative energy, deflecting negative intentions and providing a clear space to reclaim boundaries is a helpful way to maintain a healthy balance. The smoke as well, interrupts any Infrared energy waves which are in the lower part of the visible light spectrum. These waves of energy are responsible for some of our darker thoughts and emotions which can attract spirit energy and entities that match that vibration. So, smudge has many benefits. And not only does it work for a physical space, it works for people as well. People can smudge themselves and each other to create the same effect.

Ah, spring is in the air! And with spring comes a time for all of us to take a look not only at the newness and change in our lives, but it helps us hit the “reset” button in our lives. Sometimes we just need that simple spring cleaning attitude in our soul too, to help us regain a sense of balance, simplicity and positive outlooks that the dark winter of our life can dampen.

Children Playing in the Forest

We may not realize it or pay attention when that dark winter of our life comes sweeping across our doorway but we sure recognize it has roosted within us once it is lifted from us. We feel lighter and more vibrant, as if a beautiful rainbow of color has painted our life once again with shades we weren’t aware existed. Not only is that refreshing, but it is fun!

So, opening the door to a fun, new, refreshing season, makes it a time to really take hold of the reins and let your soul race across the landscape of your potential so that you can bring into manifestation the things you have only dreamt of until now.

We’ve all heard of “a Little Black Book” which often refers to a tidy little book that stores names, addresses and contact information on behalf of people in our lives that we wish to stay in contact with. Most of us now have all of that stored in our phone instead of a separate book but the concept is the same. And whether we realize it or not, our spirit also has a little black book where information, memories, impressions and imprints are stored about those who have made a difference in our lives.

The Little Black Book

Whether that difference is negative or positive, the truth is, we often keep it with us for a long, long time. So if that experience we have kept stored within our spirit has left a less than ideal impression on us, it is important for us to remember that once in a while it’s good to clean out that directory and erase what should have been erased long ago.

A great way to do that is to visualize all those who have made an impression on us, and all the stored memories and information along with it, inside that little black book  of our soul self. Picture browsing through all the “files” and stored information that no longer serves our purpose for growth. See the files as if they are highlighted in red and need correction. Each file, each memory, identity or person that we wish to “delete” from our black book database that is highlighted in red is now able to be deleted for good.

In the hustle and bustle of the busy world I am often asked by people, what are the best ways to meditate and not get distracted? The answer rests more within what happens in the mental framework of meditation rather than outer influences.

Ringing of the Bells

The mind naturally races and forms multitudes of ideas throughout the day. It’s what it does naturally. Quieting the mind can be a challenge in itself and if we incorporate that specifically in our meditations it can challenge the success of the experience which in turn, can result in frustration or disappointment. So, especially for beginners, it can be fun to give the brain something to focus on that compliments its natural speed of processing through forms of stimulation to make the experience natural and easy.

One of the most cleansing elements is the rain. Rain releases negative ions in the atmosphere and is the only element that is known to operate counter clockwise which can cleanse our personal space of negativity, help us experience relaxation and become more in tuned with Mother Nature.

Rain

Sometimes however, it’s very hot, cold or dry and we don’t always have the luxury to experience those happy little raindrops on our roof or panes of glass in our windows. Yet that doesn’t have to hamper our opportunity to experience the same after-effects of rain. Using our muscle memory and soul memory recall to visualize the positive effects of when we last  experienced rain can be just as powerful and strong.
