VENUS SHINES HER LIGHT OF LOVE, GRACE, AND BEAUTY FOR THE NEW MOON IN LIBRA, SEPTEMBER 25TH, 2022

Venus, the planet of love, beauty, sensuality, and feminine grace, governs both Taurus and Libra. Today, as we welcome in the New Moon in Libra, we are brought into the sphere of Venus’s warm embrace.

The planet Venus is named after the Roman Goddess Venus, who is considered the counterpart to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite, and she is currently in the energies of Virgo, along with Mercury Retrograde that also moved into the sign of Virgo. We are invited to pay closer attention to the details that matter regarding our partnerships, relationships, connections, and all that inspires us from our heart space. Communicating how we feel will matter greatly.

Libra, represented by the scales, brings our attention to our ideas and concepts about justification, differences between right and wrong, yin and yang principles, and the aspects of duality. We may find ourselves deep in thought, understanding our life’s circumstances in new ways that we hadn’t considered before, and this will free us from old paradigms. We get to understand that life is a myriad of choices, with an infinite number of pathways that lead us, conclusively, to the same choice points on our soul’s evolutionary timeline. No matter how many divergent roads we take, we eventually will still end up where we are supposed to be all along. And we eventually will meet the people we were meant to travel with, even if it takes us longer to connect. During this time, we can expect to experience strong vivid dreams about people we haven’t seen in ages, or people we have yet to encounter in the near or distant future. We can expect to feel like we’ve been here before, and done this already, even if we haven’t. Waves of Déjà vu may roll through, and remind us that there is purpose in what’s happening. We are on the right path, after all.

Both enemies and allies are cosmically woven into the tapestry of our lives. We are meant to unite with many people, especially those whom we share a karmic history with. As soulmates, we incarnate again and again, playing different roles to each other each time. In one lifetime we could be the parent, and in another, we could be the child. We get to experience the parent child dynamic in both ways in order to fully understand the dynamic. In one lifetime we could be a divine counterpart and in another, we could be an opposing force. We see this a lot in people who reincarnate during times of war, where they fall in love with someone who fights for the other side. Love abides, despite human interference or circumstances of oppressive indoctrination that ingrains us with the concept we are separate. Even war or death cannot separate us. No matter how many times we are involved in the battles between good and evil, or oppression and freedom, we are able to transcend this indefinite cycle of opposition.

The great pendulum of life that swings us in and out of extremes during our cycles of reincarnation, teaches us, that in order to find a middle ground of balance, we must experience the expression of extremes in innumerable ways before we can fully understand all sides. This is how we transcend duality. We carry with us though, the memories of our incarnations of people, places, and things, we knew before. We elevate as a group. And until the last of us has done so, we will keep tethered to this cycle together. That is why we need to help each other in order to be free. This is at the core of why we are compelled to help others. It runs deeper than empathy or compassion. It is the story of our soul’s journey. And even our enemies are part of it. Even our enemies were once our trusted allies, and can be again.

Tell those you love that you love them. Establish fair boundaries and consider all sides in every dynamic but don’t surrender to self-sacrifice or self-deprecation.

For many lovers, this will feel like a short honeymoon phase. Ah, romance is in the air and some will want to shout it from the roof tops, and show off their beloved to the world. This is also where lovers become inspired to better communicate their needs, desires, and expectations for the future.

We are reminded to embrace our feminine divinity, and pay closer attention to what we are nurturing, conceiving, and giving birth to. We are stepping on fertile ground, and the reflection of fertility within our lives is providing a bounty of offerings from the Universe.

To honor and boost our reproductive fertility this evening through ceremonial workings during our New Moon in Libra, we can put out offerings to the Goddess Venus and ask her for her blessings. These offerings can include fruits high in Vitamin C which are known to boost sperm count and motility in men. They also boost our immune systems, and are often chosen as a symbol of fertility because of how high the seed count is in the flesh of the fruit. Sweet sensuous fruits such as Pomegranate, Guava, Kiwi, Oranges, Strawberries, and Mangos can be placed on offering plates on our altar spaces, or, if in a secure location outside, can be placed outside tonight to honor the New Moon.

Strawberries especially are a fruit often associated directly with the Goddess Venus because of its heart shape, color, and fragrance. In churches and cathedrals, medieval stone masons carved Strawberries into the walls, and made them part of the architecture in honor of the Goddess Venus. For our home décor or altar space, we can create art using Strawberries for symbolic representation, and add notations or affirmations of what we’d like to manifest with it.

For those working with this New Moon to manifest the bounty and blessing of new love, pregnancy, beauty, and heart space healing, a Strawberry bath ritual may be in order. Fresh or dried Strawberries can be added to bath water, or the seeds can be extracted and used as a base ingredient to make an aromatic and cleansing exfoliants. Strawberry seeds used in sugar scrubs are compatible with both aqueous and anhydrous formulas. Strawberries can be use to make Strawberry Essential Oils as well, and used as a natural antioxidant or sunscreen for the skin.

Working with crystals that promote fertility, love, and new beginnings can be a great way to connect with tonight’s New Moon. Moonstone, Strawberry Quartz, Clear Quartz Crystal, Rose Quartz, Pink Mangano Calcite, Green Calcite, Chrysoprase, Green Aventurine, and Green Jade, are all fantastic crystals to work with. These crystals can be placed over your Heart Chakra while in meditation or carried in a necklace medicine pouch that sits over your Heart Chakra. Some crystals cannot get wet but a few that can, are Rose Quartz, Green Aventurine, Strawberry Quartz, and Clear Quartz. These can be placed in a jar to make Moon Water, or, they can be placed in bath water so long as the water does not have any other botanicals in it. Anything with citric acid or is acidic will dull the polish of the crystals.

Crystals that can be used in Sacral Chakra work to heal traumas or clear blockages associated with reproductive health and sexuality are Carnelian Agate, Red Aventurine, Axinite, Smoky Quartz, Vanidinite, Aragonite, Pink Feldspar, Ruby, and Garnet.

In Shamanic work, we can incorporate the medicine of animal totems to help us reconnect with our sensuality and sexuality. Working with Black Jaguar, Tiger, Snake, Swan, Wild Mustang, and Japanese Cranes can bring deeper communion within our lives, aid in Tantra work, and provide a pathway to our Kundalini awakening.

Tonight, let love be your guide, and ask the Universe for everything your heart desires.
