The Sun has officially moved into the Air sign of Gemini, launching our Gemini season of the twins starting May 21, 2022!

Beginning back on May 15th, 2022, the Sun entered a long Conjunction with Mercury which was first in the sign of Gemini, and also in Retrograde status already. This Conjunction will continue on until May 27th, 2022. Now that the Sun is in Gemini, and Mercury is moving into Earthy Taurus May 23, 2022, we will have a bit of a power struggle with our communications and ways in which we express ourselves. Gemini is a quick moving Air energy, probably one of the quickest, fast talking, idea hopping, and motivated of the Air signs. Mercury, ruled by Gemini, will enter a denser space as it moves into Taurus. Taurus is one of the slowest moving of the Earth signs because he is grounded, so his communications in the Mercurial expression get us to think things through a little longer before we jump ahead in our conversations or decisions.

Today December 28th, the Moon moves into watery Scorpio. This is a bit of tempered emotional energy which is really good compared to most water Moons which often trigger deep sorrows, insecurities, emotions currents of dreamy love or moody bouts of depression and anger. This Scorpio Moon for the most part will feel magical, and may even inspire new ideas and concepts about love, partnerships, and spiritual passions! This is because the Moon will be surrounded by very grounding energies of multiple Capricorn placements, and airy Aquarius placements. Pragmatism and analytical thought will dominate the chances of any volatility for the most part.

Make no mistake however, Venus Retrograde in Capricorn could have us ping ponging with the Scorpio Moon to evaluate past loves, past heartbreaks, and emerging conclusions about why we have to protect ourselves emotionally. And if this happens, we could see unhealed wounds take central focus, especially since we’re still in the long haul of Chiron in Aries. Don’t worry though, and don’t be afraid. In one hand you hold the match. You don’t have to strike it on anything because in the other hand, you hold the pail of water that can extinguish this fire by the influences of our watery Scorpio sun.
